ESSAY CONTEST
CALLING ALL YOUTH Ages (6-9)
Submit your paper by December 15
GOAL: The contest's goal is to initiate bridging the gap between seniors (those age 60 and above) and youth. It is our hope that through this essay contest youth will be encouraged to build a stronger relationship with their elders, demonstrate a greater sense of respect, build a stronger community, and enhance their inspirational and writing skills.
Each participant will be asked to write 500 words on "The positive impact seniors have on our lives and our community".
If interested in submitting an essay, complete the interest form. Once your have completed the form, a essay packet will be emailed to you. The prizes are as follows:
1st prize - Trophy, paper submitted in 2012 pageant program, and $100 Target gift card
2nd prize - Trophy and $50 Target gift card
All participants - certificate of participation
